We are building the software we wanted to buy.
UNOBITS exists because running a business should not mean running eleven pieces of software that have never been introduced to each other. This is the whole story, without the mission-statement voice.
Four steps from a complaint to an operating system.
It started with a normal complaint
Someone running a real business said they spend more of their day supervising browser tabs than leading anyone. Everybody in the room recognised it. Nobody thought it was strange.
Then we counted
Messaging here, projects there, clients somewhere else, invoices in a fourth place, files in a fifth, and a spreadsheet holding the whole thing together. Eleven subscriptions. Nine logins. One person quietly re-typing the same information into all of them.
The usual fix makes it worse
The industry answer is another layer: a connector, an integration platform, a dashboard that reads the other tools. That is a twelfth subscription and one more thing to break at 2am.
So we built the other thing
One system where the parts already know each other, because they were never separate. Then we made it re-shape itself around whatever business walks in, and gave it an AI that can actually do the work inside it.
Four things we will not trade away.
These are not values on a wall. Each one costs us something, which is how you know we mean it.
Nobody should pay twice for their own data
Every plan opens the whole system. We charge for scale — people, storage, how much work you hand over — never for unlocking the feature you actually needed.
Software should speak your language
You should not have to translate properties into “items” or patients into “contacts”. The system learns your words at signup and uses them everywhere.
Fast is a feature, not a nice-to-have
It is built on vanilla foundations and tuned obsessively, because a workspace you live in all day cannot make you wait for a spinner.
You should be able to leave
Export everything, any time, in formats you already use. We would rather earn the next month than trap you into it.
A small team, deliberately.
Founding
The UNOBITS team
Built by people who ran businesses on the twelve-app stack and got tired of it.
Engineering
The people who make it fast
One system, no framework bloat, obsessive about the milliseconds you never notice.
Design
The people who make it calm
Every screen has to earn its place. If it does not help you decide something, it goes.
Support
The people who pick up
Real humans, quickly, including during the messy first week of moving in.
If any of that sounds like your problem, come and try it.
And if it does not work for you, tell us why — we would genuinely rather know.
